Android's power.. BEAT all other OS.. now is the MOST POPULAR OS in US !! YEAH !

Back in January, Canalyst informed us that Android platform is taking the first position and becoming the best-selling smartphone OS in the world. Same thing happens for the US market. According to comScore and Nielson analystics firms recent statistics, Android takes the lead in the United States smartphone market as well.

comScore gives Google Android 31.2% of the US market share, capturing the top spot, followed by RIM with 30.4%, while Apple takes the third position by scoring 24.7% share. If you take a closer look on the comScore's chart, you'll see that Android has made a remarkable progress, climbing from just 7.1% share in January 2010.

Nielson reports agree with comScore and show similar numbers for the little green alien. Android holds 29% of the market share while RIM and Apple fight hard for a second place, both scoring 27% for their operating systems. According to the research firm, Android seems to attract also young consumers; 8% representing teenegers with ages 25-34.

Good scores for Android and a sign that the OS is actually doing a great job, even if there are still bugs regarding the fragmentation. Although many research firms present positive results, maybe a more intense advertising for the little green fellow would help. Check out the graphics from the source link.
